Hadleigh Olympic Mountain Bike Track

Pre-game test run 31st July 2011 for 2012 Olympics

By Ian Hawks

Sunday, 31st July 2011, over 5,000 spectators arrived in Hadleigh to view the event down at the Salvation Army Farm location.   Competitors from many countries entered the race. The first race was at 11:00 for ladies and was won by Catherine Pendrel from Canada.  The men's race started at 14:00 and was won by Julien Absalon from France.  All competitors thought it was an excellent track, hope to win a place for their country in the 2012 Olympics and return to Hadleigh.

Hadleigh should be proud of the organisation and preparation for the event.

Good luck to all for the 2012 Games
